The Society is proud to announce that their Treasurer John Carter
G7JTH has reached the ripe old age of seventy. His daughter Anne and his son
David and their respective partners organised a party for John at the Cedar
Court Hotel on Saturday the 20th of June 2009. Several society members were
invited and were happy to attend.
Photos from the party are shown below, and the reason that
they're on the web is that John was warned that a substantial bribe was required
or Steve 2E0SLT and Dave G4CLI would ensure that they would actually appear on
the Society web server. No bribe (of any size) has arrived, and therefore the
photos are here!. We have to say that the general opinion of the guests at the
party seemed to be that John was someone with a taste for the booze, with at
least TEN bottles as birthday gifts!
