WAKEFIELD & DISTRICT RADIO SOCIETY - AMATEUR RADIO LICENCE TRAINING
The Wakefield & District
Radio Society is pleased to announce the provision of Amateur Radio Training
Courses
from Foundation, through
Intermediate to Advanced (Full). The training team comprises three RSGB/RCF
registered
instructors, with more in training:

Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced)
(Instructor, Foundation,
Intermediate and Advanced)
(Instructor, Foundation)
Our courses run at all three levels on a
regular basis and are held at either the 23rd Wakefield Scout Hut,
251 Barnsley Road, Wakefield or in the Training Room at the rear of Ossett Fire
Station.
Course prices and durations (assuming one
lesson per week) are as follows:

Foundation £50 (5-6 weeks)

Intermediate £60 (10-12 weeks)
-
Advanced £70 (26-30 weeks)
The course fees include the exam fee, one
years' full membership of the Wakefield & District Radio Society (needed for
insurance
purposes) and amount for administration,
photocopying and refreshments. If you are already a member, discounts are
available.
Several Foundation (M3/M6) and
Intermediate (2E0) courses have already been
run, with a successful pass for ALL
trainees. An M0 (Advanced) Course is now in progress
and the next Foundation Course starts soon.

We recently trained our first blind candidate - Louise Simpson
who passed and is now M3WSQ.
She swears she's not going
to use the phonetics "White Stick Queen"!
